About the Position
As a Product Management Intern at Slytrunk, you'll have the unique opportunity to work on a variety of different projects and learn from our 3 seasoned product managers about the product discovery, definition, and development process we go through to create a successful app or web experience. Ever wonder what it takes to get your favorite apps on your phone? We do, and we'll teach you the process while you help us make it awesome!
We'll need your help in the Discovery and Product Definition phases for a brand new product, gathering customer insights from our target market by interacting with potential customers through our social platforms and conducting surveys. You'll also help shape the product requirements and content for our first prototype.
This is your chance to have meaningful responsibilities and direct, hands-on experience in building an exciting new digital product with the direction of experienced product professionals and an unparalleled engineering team. We have an amazing dev team who can build anything, and you'll help define what to build and work with them to get it done.
How to apply
Key Responsibilities
Work with product, design, and engineering to plan, build, and launch new product experiences
Build awareness and excitement while gathering customer insights and managing content across our social platforms and conducting customer surveys
Research and evaluate the competitive landscape and product opportunities in the space
Think strategically and creatively to help define the product vision and strategy
Assist in drafting the product requirements and content creation for our first MVP of the new product
Gather feedback and data from our prototype and help shape the product vision based on customer insights
Assist with other established products we're managing for various clients
Basic Requirements
We're open to unconventional paths into software and product management, but are looking for the following qualities in a new team member:
Self-motivated with a positive attitude - you're a team player who is willing to chip in and help wherever needed in a startup-like environment
Curious and excited to learn about the product management role
Strong ability and interest in solving problems and investigating user needs and pain-points
Interested in tech and follow trends in the tech industry
Excellent communication skills
Must be available to work from our Encinitas Office at least 2x per week, working around 20 hours a week total
Experience or interest in health and nutrition a plus
Experience working in a technical and/or UX environment a plus
18 years of age or older
